Christina Corley

My earliest memory of sewing was when I was about 10 years old. I was given a peg doll with felt dresses to stitch together to make the outfits. I remember the bright pink case it came in to this day. My Nanna then taught me to sew properly using her sewing machine and I loved it. 

I have always loved clothes and art and was thrilled to study at the London College of Fashion. 

I did have a break from sewing in my 20s and early 30s but whilst I was on maternity leave I decided to make a picnic blanket to practise my skills. This simple make reignited my love for sewing and I was asked by some Mum friends who had seen my Picnic Blanket  to make them a smaller version. I then started practising using my son Daniel's Babygrows, from which Ts Precious Keepsakes was born.

Over the last 7 years I have now grown my product list and love experimenting with new ideas. I love making something from someone's treasured clothing, I don't think I will ever get used to the emotion my customers show when they first see their bespoke item, it makes me so happy to have made something to be treasured forever.  

I am thankful for all the recommendations I receive from people I have made for. My little sewing business is hugely supported by my friends, family and followers and for that I am forever grateful. 

I am now starting my first sewing classes for children, teaching the next generation to sew is something I am truly passionate about, I can’t wait to see their creations.
